Tony's thigh session 2

So recently I got a chance to start shading in Tony's thigh... here's what we got so far.

I only took 4 photos so here's everything. It's a little hard to see because it's so red, but I have to say this is by far one of my favority pieces. I'm excited to work with larger fields of grey and do something big! I know I'm not to the point where I can do this stuff on paying customers yet, but it's people like Tony that are helping me get my start :)

I hope to work on the ship next week when I get back from my trip down south to visit family.

    More to come.....

Hey everyone! More tattoos to post.....

This was done on my coworker, it's from a print of an elephant painting. If you want to see the video, go to YouTube and type in "elephant painting". Really awesome to watch! This was small and on her lower calf.
this was a walkin at No Ka Oi this weekend. It took me a while to do, but it was nice to do something a bit larger
This was also a walkin, he just wanted an outline with only the tips filled in. I wanted to do more with this one but he wouldn't budge. Hopefully I see him again and we can do more with it.
This one came in after that, a military kid obviously. The top of the bullet looks a bit distorted in the photo but I swear it's straight :) I'll find a better photo and post it soon.
Another walkin. He got it upside down but it was good practice with the wrist.
This came in the next day also at No Ka Oi. She had the kanji on her shoulder and wanted to add a lotus flower done in a brush-stroke style. I LOVED doing this one, it gave me some practice with the style and I even updated the kanji as well and used some light greys to bring the two together.
     close up.

     Another walkin, just simple lettering.
This was done on the lotus flower's sister.
     Another small walkin.
This one came in yesterday to South Street. She had this old name on her shoulder and wanted to redo it and add another name on the other side.
    BEFORE
     After
This one went on her husband. Really weird working by the elbow....

Last walkin of the day... small fairy picked off the wall. I adjusted the colors and redrew it a bit. Then added the name. This was her first tattoo and I had some fun with this one as well. First fairy!

    More to come....

Have I already told you about a girl named... Ashley Love ?  ;)
Wow, if some years ago somebody would have told me that her and me would be collaborating on a watercolor painting I would have begged him to stop kidding me... but sometimes even your wildest dreams can come true! We're planning to do some prints once the painting is finished! I hope that more collaborations will happen during the year...

here the first stage of the project:

I received some new watercolor paints and I've been working on the spit shading technique... Here are two new sets of flashes I've been spending time on these last days:

Some new postcards and prints available on my etsy shop :)

Hihihi, so funny, la Tribune de Genève, Geneva's biggest newspaper, wrote a small article about me!  :)
The title says: "the blogger who became a tattooer"... it describes my itinerary since I began my blog until today... :)
And no, I'm not promoting some hair care products nor some new type of shampoo on the article's picture! The photographer kept asking me to adopt some really funny poses during the shooting session and that's the one that ended up being published... :D

The Belfort Tattoo Convention, we were there with the Inkvaders crew!

The old Belfort is very romantic, unfortunately we hadn't enough time to visit properly the town.

A nice restaurant in the old part of town...

Our booth at the convention :

Pedro SOos, a portuguese kick-ass tattooer and super nice person, was present at the convention... he inked a super classy anchor on my boyfriend's arm...

The legendary Todd Noble was also at Belfort, his booth was just beside ours... my boyfriend ended up with one of his gorgeous gypsy girls on his forearm... yay!

    BJ Betts in action!

My harvest from the convention!  :)

PS : Unfortunately I won't be taking custom orders anymore for now... due to the enormous amount of work I have at the shop I just don't have time to draw that much anymore. I hope that things will change soon.
Please, for all the people waiting for their custom pieces, be patient, I'll try my best to finish the drawings as soon as I can.
    Thanx to everybody!

Slow week on South Street

So even though it's been a little slow, I've still been able to get a few walkins here and there, and managed to tattoo my friend Kali!

Here's the recap since my last post....

This was a walkin at No Ka Oi.... tricky to do these spiral-like designs.

Another walkin... this was ok to do... gotta work on my spirals and swirls some more.

This one walked into South Street about a week ago. A good challenge for me working with alot of color. Really had a nice time with this one and learned alot about working with greens.

This one was a walkin as well on South Street. I had some trouble with stretching the A but Im hoping everything heals up good.

The next two were matching tattoos for sisters. This one was also a challenge. Still need work on my swirls but I think it went over well and I hope to see them again.

small and simple walkin. Super nice girl too.
This girl came in with the Pi symbol girl. This is an outline of Oregon state with a bird silhouette.

This woman got these two kanjis, super simple to do and went well,. She also had this ribbon on her foot that needed to be gone over again. Here is the before and after...

     BEFORE
AFTER. I really enjoy tattooing the feet!

This last one went on my friend Kali who works up the street from the shop. Super nice girl who is also finishing up an apprenticeship for piercing. I let her pierce me for practice, now she's giving me some skin in return! This one was VERY fun to do and she let me do whatever I wanted with color.

    Until the next upload...
